As we have developed, we have made a skills pledge to the Department of Business Innovation & Skills providing our workforce with opportunities to attend training courses and learn new skills, keeping them up to date with developments in techniques and materials. We also run an apprenticeship scheme offering new opportunities to young local talent.
Our workforce is encouraged to continuously update their skills and our management keeps abreast of new construction methods, standards and procedures in order to be able to offer clients the best possible service.
Rize Construction started in Sheffield as a family business, specialising in a wide range of construction projects. It has since developed into a major construction company with a growing commercial wing bidding for major projects being tendered in both the private and public sectors.

Planning and Design
Rize Construction offer a full planning and design service. We can offer advice on projects, assessments and surveys, a full planning service including architectural drawings, 3D imagery, structural calculations and interior designs. Rize construction can submit planning applications on your behalf as well as assisting in the submission of planning applications, we can also liaise with local authorities to ensure that building regulations are met. New Builds
Our specialist in-house team is able to undertake the full range of development activities. We offer build only, design and build and full turnkey solutions to suit individual client needs, utilizing modern construction methods, including sustainable and green materials. We use innovative design to help ensure that we exceed our client’s expectations and provide a customer service that is dedicated to your individual needs.
Schools & Academies
Our work on Schools & Academies has increased over the years and now accounts for over 30% of our workload, we have developed specialist team for working in this high risk environment and pride ourselves on how we operate & perform completing large projects within tight timescales and restricted access, we provide many building services to Schools & Academies including classroom expansion projects, extensions, installation of modular classrooms & refurbishment.

Are our forte, over the years we have constructed extensions on Dentists, Schools, industrial units and offices.
Structural Alterations
We are well versed in structural works, we have an in-house structural engineer & have completed several large structural alteration works to some of Sheffield’s schools & public buildings as well as many commercial & industrial properties.
Barn Conversions & Restoraition Projects
We have worked on several grade 2 listed properties ensuring that the requirements of both the client and the planning officer have been met.
General Contracting
As a versatile principle contractor working in the commercial, industrial and residential sectors of business, we have a wealth of experienced and professional approved sub-contractors who we have worked with for many years. Our approved sub-contractors have all been vetted and completed our approval process which enables us to provide our clients with a trialled and tested workforce. Rize Construction Ltd cover a wide range of construction related activities within these industries.
Groundwork & hard landscaping
Our groundworks team covers foundations in all forms including footings, rafts and suspended works, excavations & muckshift, all elements of hard landscaping, drainage deep & shallow, water harvesting systems, attenuation tanks and utilities trenching & ducting. We also provide maintenance & repair to paths, highways, industrial & commercial yards, street scenes and townscapes. We are proficient in industrial yard creation, repair & maintenance in line with Environment agency guidelines and can aid with licencing submission and advice.
Civil Engineering
Involving Highway formations, Highway excavations & reinstatements, Traffic Management, Drainage connections, RC structures, Kerbing, Ironwork adjustments, Resurfacing & associated works from our National Road & Street Works Association (NRASWA) qualified staff.
Maintenance
We provide maintenance to industrial & commercial buildings, forecourts, yards, drainage systems, pedestrian and vehicular highways.
